They agreed, but then went ahead and made edits anyway. That wasn’t the main issue, though. The real problem arose when, in a flurry of emails over the next day, they condescended to us—claiming we had no experience (which we do); accusing us of being hostile and needing to adjust our attitude; suggesting we had internal problems; and saying we were just making excuses.

I’ll be the first to say that there was miscommunication on both ends. But what really matters is how a company reacts when a client is dissatisfied. I prefer to collaborate with folks who genuinely try to see things from the other person's perspective. As a business owner myself, I would never dream of addressing even my toughest customer in such a manner. It’s quite ironic for a PR firm to behave this way. (Also, the few changes they made indicated a lack of understanding of our industry, but that’s a minor point in my opinion.)

It could've been just right if they managed to get me on all the same platforms as our rivals, but it seems some places were only for our competition.
